iOS and Android prototyping tools are at a dead end
Designers are calling for more realistic prototyping tools for native apps on iOS and Android. Current tools fall short of realism and do not simulate keyboard inputs or allow for multiple modes or states depending on user input. As a result, designers often have to build apps twice, once in a prototyping tool and then in the native authoring environment. Solutions proposed include using web bootstraps to simulate native apps, learning Storyboard in Xcode, or using Axure, a tool that simulates testing and prototyping key input and logic.
